The right chocolate fill in every egg waffle pocket

FoodJet fills egg waffles with chocolate or compound by depositing a controlled volume into each pocket, exactly where the recipe needs it. Individually controlled nozzles set the volume per deposit, so the fill is consistent across the batch, without enrobing the whole product or dosing by hand.

Why hand filling and enrobing fall short

Filling egg waffles by hand is slow and varies between operators. Enrobing coats the whole product instead of placing filling where you want it, and a basic swivelling tool cannot match different shapes or recipes. That limits how precise and how varied your filling can be.

What targeted filling gives you

  • Filling only where you want it. Instead of coating the whole waffle, the system deposits chocolate or compound into each pocket, per product, so you use the right amount of material and keep the product clean where it should stay clean.
  • Volume and pattern in software. Individually controlled nozzles set the volume of each deposit, and you switch designs in software without mechanical changes, so a recipe change does not mean a line rebuild.
  • Built for chocolate and compound. The system is configured for low-viscosity materials such as chocolate and fat compound, matched to your recipe and line conditions, with vision optional to detect product position.

How targeted filling works

The system runs inline, depositing into each product as it passes.

  1. Arrive. Products travel on the conveyor into the depositing zone. Vision is optional, to detect position where products are not fixed in place.
  2. Deposit. The nozzle array places chocolate or compound into each pocket at the set pattern and volume.
  3. Control. Set and adjust the pattern and volume per deposit in software, during production.

Because volume and pattern are set per product in software, the fill stays consistent across the batch and changes without a mechanical setup.

When this is a good fit

  • You fill egg waffles or similar wafer and waffle products with chocolate or compound.
  • You want a consistent fill volume across products.
  • You need flexible patterns or fast changeovers.
  • Manual filling or enrobing limits your product variety.

Frequently asked questions

What can FoodJet deposit into egg waffles?

Chocolate and fat compound, and other low-viscosity materials, configured to your recipe.

Can the volume per deposit be controlled?

Yes. The nozzles are individually controlled for volume and pattern, so you can match the fill to each product and adjust it during production.

Can the system handle different waffle shapes or recipes?

Yes. Patterns and volumes are set in software, so you switch between products or recipes without mechanical changes.

How quickly can a FoodJet system be integrated?

Many systems are integrated into an existing line within a morning, provided the line is prepared in advance: space and access available, utilities ready, guarding and health-and-safety agreed, and the control interface defined. The exact timing depends on line layout and any customisation.
